Alice Ploss

Alice is a versatile musician and teaching professional with over 25 years of experience working with all age groups and directing a wide variety of performing ensembles in the church setting, public schools and college level. Her musical theater production experience – as a music director, vocal coach, rehearsal and performance accompanist and choreographer – spans 17 productions performed at all levels of secondary education in Trumansburg and surrounding communities, and also internationally in Tokyo, Japan.

Anne Bialke

Anne Bialke has directed numerous productions in the Trumansburg area, working with young people and adults. Her credits include direction and co-direction, acting and movement coaching, choreography, set design and technical direction, and scenic painting. Her early training includes acting in numerous plays and musicals in high school, college and community groups, a minor in theatre from Minnesota State University Moorhead, with an emphasis on direction and costuming; three years of competition at the State level in Minnesota’s State High School League One-Act Competition, and nine years of competitive public speaking, with performances at two national competitions hosted by the National Forensics League. An accomplished painter and illustrator, she has an MFA in illustration from Syracuse University and has been represented by West End Gallery in Corning, NY, since 1995.

Barbara Melvin

Barbara Melvin is a retired public librarian and art historian with a long history of volunteer work in schools and libraries, and board membership in not-for-profit organizations. She has been a volunteer income tax preparer for nearly twenty years. While she and her children each enjoyed high school theatre performance, her current skills are in costume design and construction. Today she is a quilter, weaver, watercolor painter, and an unabashed booster of Encore Players.
