Encore Players Community Theatre is pleased to present
“Encore Shorts: The Bermuda Edition”
A Collection of One-Act Comedies.
Trumansburg, NY - Trumansburg’s Encore Players Community Theatre announces the production of “Encore Shorts: The Bermuda Edition.” This collection of one-act comedies will be presented over 2 weekends at the Encore Arena Theatre, 9706 Congress Street Ext, Trumansburg, with evening performances on Sept. 23, 24, 30 and Oct. 1 at 7:30 pm, and matinees on Sept. 25 and Oct. 2 at 2 pm. Tickets are $15.00 and are available online or can be purchased at the door.
Encore Players is excited to revisit this “evening of one-acts” format. The “Bermuda Edition,” follows a successful 2018 debut of “Encore Shorts.” In this collection, Encore will showcase the talents and comedic stylings of fifteen actors working with seven directors to present the work of seven playwrights. These eclectic one-acts playfully tackle themes of responsibility, isolation, justice, relationships, self-esteem, and more through the lens of madcap, tender, and sharply observant humor, all in under two hours.
According to Chris Manly, producer and stage manager, “Cross-casting 15 actors across 28 roles in 7 plays, each with a different director, makes for an intensely collaborative venture that is going to be full of life and humor.”
This summer marks Encore Players Community Theatre’s ninth season of bringing joy and delight to Trumansburg area audiences. This show will mark the second production in the new dedicated theater space just north of Trumansburg Village. A non-profit organization, the Encore Players’ mission is to provide a venue for people of all ages to participate in the rewarding experience of theater.
Venue Notes: Our ticket holders are strongly urged to wear masks. Also, our new venue is unheated at this time. Please be prepared for the cooler evening temps. Bring a jacket, a blanket, or a chair pad if desired. We want you to feel comfortable so you can fully enjoy the show!
Now that’s a reason to smile: don’t miss the last weekend of performances September 31-October 2.
