A NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR:

In the fall of 2024, Encore Players faced what we like to think of as a “good” problem: Our normal venue for our winter performance, the Trumansburg Conservatory of Fine Arts, successfully raised enough capital to renovate their incredible historic building and thus, because it closed for renovations, we found ourselves without a space for our 2025 winter production. As is so often true in art, our limitations pushed us to think outside the box; to find a space to accommodate us and to find a show that would match that space. And, as has always been true for Encore, our community rose to the occasion. The wonderful Sarah Abernathy offered to host us at Cedarwood Event Venue, and through a truly collaborative effort, Karaoke Cabaret was born. Thank you to the talented cast and crew, the many script collaborators and to the Encore Players community for having an open heart and always being willing to share in the joy or creating something new! — Chris Westling
